RASCAL, HOW COULD YOU RESIST ME?

IMG_3487 (3)Even though Rascal is AN ALIEN DOG and a purebred Rascal, both Raymond and I grew to love him more and more each day. Being Senior citizens, Rascal is just what the doctor ordered to give us a touch of humor and playfulness. For example, when we are eating dinner Rascal is sure to position himself so he sits between us. He sits squarely on his fanny with his big long body tall and erect, paws circling round and round begging, and eyes looking ever so mournful and deserving. Rascal is saying, “I’m so cute. How could you possibly resist me? Show some pitty for a poor hungry dog.”

Rascal will climb up on the dining room chair next to me.  If there is room, he will put his paws on the glass table and proceed to look so pitiful it is impossible to resist him.

Most often Raymond and I surrender and give Rascal a treat from our plate. If, however, we do not succumb to Rascal’s sitting on his all-fours, Rascal will climb up on the dining room chair next to me.  If there is room, he will put his paws on the glass table and proceed to look so pitiful it is impossible to resist him. If there is not room between himself and the table to sit up, Rascal will make sure we can see him through the glass table. Although this is a small thing Rascal does, it is the small antics that add so much joy and laughter to our lives.
